Growth guide / COUNTERCRAFT FIELD NOTES
Open the next store with fewer unknowns
Decide what carries over, what belongs to the new location, and what the team should verify before opening.
Separate the shared from the local
Start with what should feel consistent across the business: identity, naming conventions, and the way teams describe products. Then list the details that belong to the new location, including its address, hours, staff, prices, and assortment. Make those differences deliberate.
Build the location before the devices
Give the new store a clear identity in your operating system. Confirm who manages it and who can access it. Assign registers to that store, then verify that each device and cashier sees the intended location before beginning a sales rehearsal.
Treat opening stock as its own job
A copied product list does not tell you what arrived at the new store. Plan a physical count or a reviewed receiving process with a clear date and responsible person. Resolve quantity and unit questions before treating the result as opening stock.
Check every customer-facing detail
Review the store name, logo, address, hours, product prices, receipt details, and published website content. Ask someone outside the setup work to follow the customer journey. Fresh eyes often find a copied address or an unfinished detail that the setup team no longer notices.
Rehearse with the local team
Run a small set of representative tasks with the staff who will open the store. Check customer entry, a sale, the receipt, the inventory change, and the sales record. Record unresolved questions in one place and give each one an owner before the first operating day.
A useful plan starts with your own store's needs. Bring these questions to your Countercraft demo and we'll work through them together.
